We had an absolutely WONDERFUL time and, now that we're home again, all Erika and I can talk about is "how can we get back there again next year."  We loved the little quiet (basically private!) beach front, the long walks along the beach, the gentle warm water.

The first few days there we toured part of the island (Ben's Beach, Preacher's Cave, Harbour Island, Gregory Town and Governor's Harbour) but the last couple of days we decided to just sit back and enjoy Getaway.  There was no need to go anywhere else!

The unit itself seems to have everything one could ever want.  The beautifully paneled vaulted ceilings and inner and outer French double doors gave the unit a wonderfully spacious feeling.  The decorations are indeed very tasteful.  In the kitchen one had EVERYTHING one might need: glasses, plates, Saran wrap, plastic containers for leftovers, utensils, spices and even baking needs.  All the towels and sheets, the binoculars, books about Eleuthera and the Bahamas, movies/DVDs, ... everything was great.

March 12, 2020:  (On Arrival) Just a quick message to let you know that we have arrived at your most awesome abode and it’s even more awesome than I remember! We are so pleased that you allowed us to rent here and I can’t think of another house on Eleuthera that is more perfect than yours. And, I say that as a 20 year Eleuthera homeowner!  Let me know where would be the best place for me to review your 5 star property.

(On Departure) Thanks again for your great hospitality and use of your wonderful vacation home. You should really think of changing the name to Perfect Getaway because your property and abode exceeded my expectations thoroughly. I personally loved all the attention to detail such as the choice of decorations and your creative labeling system. The house is just designed so well. It feels so much bigger than it probably is because of how well thought out all of the rooms are. Having front and back enclosed porches is just such a clever use of space and provides great options of where to spend time depending on the outdoor conditions. The view of the ocean from almost every room was really unique, too. I loved exploring the cave system and was able to find an easy access to the one to the right of the property as you are coming in. I ventured towards the one on the other side, but didn’t really have the right gear to explore so will have to save that for another trip. As an Eleuthera homeowner myself I know how difficult it is to consistently provide a great experience for my renters, but you’ve really outdone the rest of us!!  Super in every way!!! J. and I hope to return the next time we take a vacation from our own property in Ten Bay.

October 9th, 2021:  The Getaway is a fantastic place to stay. It is very remote and has a beautiful waterfront setting. It is the best Air BnB we have ever stayed at.
