Staying here made our mind up to come back. Awesome location and the folks of Current very nice. If staying here, I recommend going to north beach to see the Current Cut.

Dave: Fabulous stay. We loved being back in Current after 35 years. Tim your house is just perfect. Loved talking with Karen about the various families who still live here. Visiting with old friends. Meals on your wonderful porch. The soothing color scheme in the house. Meeting Susan in the house where we lived for a year. Talking to fishermen on the dock. Doing art with Karen’s daughter. Talking with Bonnie about some of the folks no longer around. Visiting with Janice today just down the hill past the old phone station…

Becky: What a lovely home - From the perfect screened in porch - wonderful swimming hole, spectacular views from the porch dining table to the well supplied kitchen, perfectly organized home & the serene & restful quiet, Getaway was just what we needed.  Thank you - The management of the house was spectacularly perfect too.  You were immediately available when needed, but you respected our privacy.  Thank you for a wonderful stay.

February 8th, 2023: So well equipped

This place is such a joy and very peaceful and quiet. As a bonus there is a herd of goats that cruise around the place occasionally. I have so many good things to say about this place, the kitchen is perfectly set up with all that you look for being right where you expect it to be, ditto the bedrooms and the the towels are great. The only thing I have to complain about and it's a real buzz kill was the pillows and cushions in all the chairs and the sofa. They are all packed out and offer little padding or comfort. There is so much seating at this place; rockers, swinging benches, papasan chairs and more but all of them are flat and limp. And while the upstairs mattress was marginally better the master was dreadful unless you like a really soft mattress that you sink into. But this house is so fabulous otherwise you forget about it until you want to sleep or sit and read. Also, and I know it's always changing but the lead photo shows a lovely beach that is not there right now but what was there was paddleboard and kayak with paddles, lawn chairs and a pretty beach a short drive away that was shady right up to the water. Great place and would recommend it to friends :)
