October 9th, 2021:  The Getaway is a fantastic place to stay. It is very remote and has a beautiful waterfront setting. It is the best Air BnB we have ever stayed at.

"Thanks for letting us stay at your beautiful place. It was fantastic. Karen and Pedro do a great job for you.”

May 1st, 2023: This was our 2nd time staying at Getaway and it was exactly how we remembered it! It’s the last house on the street and very private (although a house is being built next door now). You definitely need to rent a car! It has everything you could possibly need. We used the paddle board, kayak and we rode bikes around town almost every day. We were able to get a couple coconuts out of the yard and use for smoothies. The beach is nonexistent when the tide is in , but we didn’t mind since that’s the best time to snorkel the area. We also had a couple snakes stay around the path to the water, so just watch your step. They won’t bother you if you don’t bother them. Timothy is a great host and we would definitely rent with him again!

We spent a lovely week in May 2018 at Getaway with our 2 young boys.
The place is just as the name implies, private and secluded, somewhere we could unwind.
It’s equipped with all the comforts of home, and some more that we don’t have!
There are 2 covered seating areas, one to the front and one to the rear, with the rear facing towards the sea, meaning evening times, we could enjoy the (amazing) sunsets as we ate.

There is a great bedroom overlooking the main room, which meant we could keep an eye on our eldest, and the master bedroom is huge.

The property has quite a bit of land, meaning the kids could explore the wildlife. We saw lots of lizards, a gigantic crab and even a snake.

Getaway is in the settlement of Current, which is a small community surrounded by beautiful beaches which we eagerly explored. Low tide means lots of sandbars to wade out to as well.

From Getaway we could then explore the island of Eleuthera, which is a great island with lots of places to venture to.
