March 2nd, 2025: Hands down the best beach house I’ve ever stayed in! This place is absolutely perfect for 2-4 people, from the well-equipped house to the adorable and convenient pocket beach. All towels and linens are provided in abundance. The kitchen has oils, vinegars, and spices to supplement whatever you bring home from the market. The air conditioning at night was perfect. The road is rough but we had an old jalopy mini van and it was fine as long as you go slow. We were lucky in that we didn’t need to contact the property managers at all but we met Pedro briefly one morning when he came to check the generator, he was very nice. I can’t say enough good things about this place, I hope we’ll be able to return soon!

November 23rd, 2024: We loved our stay at "The Getaway". It was very private and very clean. The house itself is remarkable. As many have said the pictures do not do it justice!! Other things worth mentioning are; the settlement of Current is extremely friendly welcoming; the property manager Karen and the facilities support Pedro were excellent and incredibly responsive; we hired a private boat, Captain James from Lower Boque, to take us sprear fishing and snorkeling, was awesome. So much more we could add. Definitely worth a repeat visit. Thanks for your place Tim!

November 14th, 2024:  We stayed 6 nights. The view from the back lanai was spectacular. The house is fully stocked with spices, cookware, towels and all you need. Be aware that the best restaurants are in Spanish Wells or Harbour Island, so cooking at home is a good option. There is pizza takeout in Lower Bogue on Thursday-Saturday at Tommy’s but check. The weekend barbeque around the corner from the bakery is very good. It is a great house to relax

March 16th, 2020:  Absolutely magical!  This place was perfect for our trip. We were looking for solitude and avoiding crowded places. Eleuthera and the Getaway was the right choice to fulfill our needs. The beach was fantastic and the water was calm and relaxing. We spent some time on outings, but most of our time was spent at the property. We saw so many tropical fish, dolphins, and a sea turtle while snorkeling along the coast. My children enjoyed the shallow and calm water along the beach. We kayaked the coast in both directions and found so much to explore. The cave on the property added to our explorations. The host and the caretakers were wonderful, great communicators, and very accommodating. I can't wait to go back to this place. I hope to stay longer next time.

The house is the perfect spot for anyone looking to get away from everything. It is the last house on the road and we never saw another person while we were there. The little beach beside the house was perfect for relaxing, reading, and looking out at the aqua water. The house itself is perfect for 2-4 people and kitchen had everything we needed to cook. “We spent one week at Getaway and had a wonderful time. The kayak worked out great and we were able to explore the hidden beaches and do a lot of snorkeling. Pedro (building manager) was very responsive to any of the concerns we had while we stayed there and all issues are resolved very quickly. If you want to be totally secluded... and away from beach vendors and all the hustlers that go with other popular tourist destinations this is the spot for you. Just make sure you stock up enough groceries to get through a week or however long you plan to stay, as restaurants are few and far between. I really have no complaints... other than I wish we had known that at this time of year the tide really never goes out... so the beach that is shown in the pictures does not really exist... but for us it was okay...we just had to be careful walking on the rugged coral... all said...it was perfect and we got a very nice suntan☺”
